 7,840 households in Pendle have been helped with heating and insulation grants over the past eight years thanks to the Warm Front scheme.The take up of Warm Front grants in Pendle is amongst the highest anywhere in the country. And given the kind of winter weather we get around here that is very good news. The scheme offers grants of up to £2,700 to households on a qualifying benefit. Those who do not qualify for a full grant could still get a £300 rebate off the cost of installing new central heating or repairing a broken one. With soaring bills it is more important than ever to save and conserve energy. I am determined to get help to those who need it and will be promoting the Scheme and encouraging people to apply during Warm Homes Week which runs from 21-28 November. |
