The Early Day Motion previously accepted by the Table Office for publication tomorrow (and which appears in my earlier Press Release) has been blocked by the Commons Authorities on the grounds, inter alia, that it is mockery. Something I dispute.  The following amended text has been agreed with the Clerks and will appear on the Order Paper tomorrow:  “This House calls on those hon Members who have previously expressed the view that a referendum should be held on the Lisbon Treaty, before or after ratification, to clarify their position now that the Treaty has been ratified by all Member States."  Gordon Prentice MPAnd others
