What the media says about me...

"Paul Flynn and Gordon Prentice have become this Parliament’s saltiest select committee interrogators. They have been consistent value for money, pulling apart a succession of crooks, con men and blue-sky pseuds."

The Government’s announcement of a new £5 million small retailers capital grant fund  has been welcomed by Pendle MP, Gordon Prentice.

The MP said: “Alan Campbell, Home Office Minister for Crime Reduction, told me that £5 million has been made available for a fund to help businesses and other groups  to tackle crime. Pendle is one of the areas chosen to receive it.”

“Together with the recently announced money for Town Centre Funding coming from the Communities Department, this will be a welcome boost for local shopkeepers. Although overall crime is going down, shoplifting offences have increased by 10 per cent in the last year due to the economic downturn.”
