Local MP Gordon Prentice is trying to stop people from using a fraudulent website to gain European driving licenses.

Speaking from his Westminster office, the Pendle MP said, “A constituent has drawn my attention to a site, www.licencetoday.com, which purports to obtain an EU driving licence for people who would not be eligible for one in this country. But it is a scam which can rob people of up to 600 euros. This is something that the authorities apparently can do nothing about as the company is based in Gibraltar.”

The MP added, “If a service seems too good to be true, it almost always is.”

“I want people to use their own judgment and not be lured into scams like this one and other ones that are similar. The only way to get a driving licence is through the proper authorities.”
